Just brought this book today for my children (book recommended for ages 8 - 12)
The Top Secret undercover notes of Buttons McGinty, Book 1
by Rhys Darby

Rhys Darby is a New Zealand comedian/Actor who now lives in LA, America. He could easily take the role of Austin Powers :D He's brilliant, he really is. The guy where I brought the book said a lot of adults are reading it and enjoying it - so I am going to read it before I give it to my kids who will be back with me next week.

Rhys is absolutely hilarious. Loved him in Flight of the Conchords, and really enjoyed his little guest role in X Files Season 10. Will probably check this out :)

Currently working in a second hand book store. I love it, I have bought a few books recently. One I'm reading at the moment is a historical fiction book, about Land Girls in WWII England. Quite enjoying it so far. I also watched a tv series called Land Girls but it got cancelled unfortunately.... Not enough viewers or money I suppose....

Recently I got some magick related books... working with demons, angels, tarots etc.

Just saw a hilarious book called dracula vs hitler. Apparently from felicia's day rewiew of it on goodreads its actually a serious story and not a parody. Although at 22 dollars a bit much for something like this.

Not worth it, for sure, but the fact it's a serious story is really hilarious and intriguing to me.

This is why libraries are good.

Gave the book to my oldest son (10yrs) and he said I don't want it, I don't like it, I don't want to read it. I basically said you will enjoy it, I know what you like and you will enjoy - but nope he didn't want a bar of it, I said you haven't even tried the book, give it a go. Still he wouldn't read it, and I was getting angrier by the minute and so was he. The next morning before school, I said you need to read for 20 minutes and I got the book and asked him to read it to me and guess what - He really enjoys it and is getting lots of laughs out of it - he is now reading it to himself. All that upset for no reason - I knew he'd enjoy it.

andy just stated on his twitter he added a non existent word to the draft of the upcoming book. Hopefully he doesn't do what kieran shea did and have characters say things in other languages that don't get translated. Although he actually sort of do this in kingdom of darkness I'm reading atm.
