What do YOU think?

Personally I get tired of hearing celebrities opining on subjects where their views are, frankly, no more valid or interesting than those of Joe Schmoe in my local bar.

Where a celebrity has relevant knowledge or experience that makes their views worth hearing and disseminating, that's a different matter - but often the media just repeat pointless inanities as if they have value purely because a celebrity spoke them.

Celebrities are humans like us, regular people who also have their own point of view, their own opinion on a matter therefore they likely are allowed to have a say on matters the way we do.

Do they abuse their fame/platform to cater their views/opinions?

What would you do when being famous/daily in the spotlights?

The one critical thing about this matter that I can bring forward is is that some of these famous people are sometimes too frequent being occupied with expressing their point of view, you see them too many times expressing themselves too much on a subject where less would be better than being so pushy/overly present when a subject gets attention. :)

I've never understood the cult of celebrity. Even as a teenager ( many many years ago :P ) I didn't have any posters of pop stars on my wall. How on earth some people can become famous for ...well, being famous I'll never know. Madness.
I don't pay any attention to what they have to say unless they have direct knowledge about the subject. Tbh many of them seem to be disconnected from reality. I'm thinking about those that posted vids of themselves during lockdown. They'd be in their spacious home with plenty of outside space saying things like "we're all in this together". Yeah riiiight. :|

The more fame celebs have the more of a danger they are to the World. After all if they have several million followers and say the stupidest thing then the chances are a lot of them will try it out and follow it.

Now if Joe Bloggs says something with 1-2 followers then they won't give a damn really. He is a nobody that nobody cares about.

Celebs for me need to keep their personal feelings to themselves as it causes way too much E-Drama. Might look good for views and comments but can often lead to a celebs downfall.

Some celebs have way too much power when it's their fault for mouthing off the wrong thing or it's taken out of context.

Best if they keep quiet. ;)
What if one would translate that to RuneScape & The RuneScape Community? Somehow 'celebrities' are needed, sometimes they are asked for to come forward to show themselves (Jagex/JMods) to mirror themselves with the community. ;)

Celebrities aren't 'persé' a negative influence because many of them know the balance and 'feel the people' knowing how to react in a positive way. :)

I'm not saying this to be argumentative but .... aren't all celebrities click bait to someone?

Like, some people would click on for instance Katie Price maybe because they like to laugh at her or they think she's an icon of kewl. Some might click on Rowling because they like her books, some on a Politician because they hold the same views, some on Greta because they are into global warming issues ... and so on.

Whereas the bloke standing next to you would turn his nose up at those choices and prefer to click on a sports celeb, or a comedian.

They're all bait for someone, somewhere.

Nowadays celebrities are salesman. They'd tell u that man landed on the moon if you'd buy it.

Always be careful of a man (or person) that says "trust me". All these "experts" saying "trust me", no, idk u. I trust me. When I noticed wearing a mask became fashionable I decided against getting a mask, I mean, I've never been too fashionable or the type to show off and try to be popular etc. I always stood out because I'm different. So y'all can be fashionable and wear a flashy mask with sparkling crystals but I don't need fashionable medical equipment and I don't think you're cool. I actually think wearing sparkling crystal covered face masks and alike is mockery, its ugly and disgusting and serves no purpose but that is the celebrity mantra.
Dear God, please send the competition, feels like there ain't any.
I long lost count of the victories, there were just far too many.
