And in Liverpools final pre season friendly before next weeks season opener....
Liverpool 3 - Athletic Bilbao 1
1st half penalty from Robert Firmino gave the reds an undeserved lead followed by some shocking defensive play by us and Bilbao made the score 1-1 with a goal from Williams.
Into the second half, Liverpool started to show dominance and Woodburn put us 2-1 up with a cracking shot into the corner from just inside the box before Solanke heads home an exquisite glancing header to put us 3-1 up and game over with another great win for the reds!
Pre season for the reds ended up with us not losing any games inside 90 minutes with only a loss on penalties going against us
Bring the new season on, we are looking like almost the finished product, just need to get Virgil van Dijk in place to mend our slightly iffy defence and it's game on!
I say this every year but i really believe that this year.........
