I can't stand the taste of beer and I'm not keen on the smell either. My husband likes a beer now and again, preferably bitter but he'd never drink lager. He's really happy if he finds a real ale on tap in a pub, especially if its from a small brewery. He joined CAMRA ( Campaign for Real Ale ) last year, just before lockdown
. Two of the beers he likes to drink at home are Old Speckled Hen and Old Golden Hen.

Dude, you're just gonna have this one of a kind beer near you and not try it to report back? Please try it out and let us all know how it was.
I actually did end up trying it the other night when I went there and had a round of basically sampler glasses - like 8 of their 3oz glasses just to try the gamut of what they had.
Honestly, it wasn't nearly as bizarre as I thought it would be! Moreso like a heartier/heavier ale with just a bit of uhhh... I'd say like a more, salty/briney flavour? But not in an overwhelming way! There was definitely a faint hint of lobster/the sea, but I thought it would be a lot stronger in the flavour profile.
Definitely a novel idea, and an interesting taste, but certainly not something I could have more than one of hahaha.
