I was chatting to an old friend the other day about how driving is rarely fun nowadays.
We're both about the same age (ie old) and when we both first started driving there were around 14 million cars on the roads of the UK.
Nowadays the figure is around 39 million
I miss just going for a drive for the fun of it, I used to do it all the time but it just seems pointless these days as I inevitably encounter slow traffic. I live in quite a rural area too and obviously it's a lot worse in towns and cities.
Does anyone else still go for a drive just for fun?
