I'm still driving the same car as when this thread was started - Hyundai Amica - but it's now two years older and just celebrated it's 16th birthday
I treated it to a new cam belt as it's been 5 years since the last one and sang 'Happy Birthday' to it. I've no intentions of getting a new(er) one on the grounds of if it ain't broke don't fix it and, anyway, new cars all look so unnecessarily large yet have the same cabin space (going by various friends' cars) - all sticky-out wheel arches and fancy gadgetry just waiting to fail.
It grieves me that horse and cart is no longer an option.
Mine's finally running again after having the electrical gremlins fixed, but it was stood so long without moving that the brakes are jamming >.<
Back to the garage it goes then fingers crossed nothing else will go wrong.
It's quite old so I guess problems should be expected but it's had more than its fair share.
