I remember the glory days of the FLNJ (Front de libération des nains de jardin - Gnome Liberation Front).

Free the gnomes!!!

I remember some of that. Didn't the Gnomes get gnomenapped and took on holidays all over the World and sent their owners postcards saying they were having a great time.

I thought it was so funny.

I have a few of the little blighters in a box in storage. Just don't want to put them out to get them nicked.

I don't have any garden gnomes and I probably won't ever buy any. Two years ago a local supermarket had large plastic gnome figures...they were at least 24 inches/60 cm tall.
I prefer diffferent styles of garden ornaments, I have a Thailand temple lion in my garden..not a genuine one of course but it still looks nice. I also have a little dragon ( 10 inches/25cm tall ) hiding under a shrub.
