The weapons division of the Corugii Corporation is very interested in the military applications.

Oh wait!

Here we go...

"Because the larvae in the cheese can launch themselves for distances up to 15 centimetres (6 in) when disturbed, diners hold their hands above the sandwich to prevent the maggots from leaping."

Beautiful. Just beautiful...

But wait, there's more!

"Some who eat the cheese prefer not to ingest the maggots. Those who do not wish to eat them place the cheese in a sealed paper bag. The maggots, starved for oxygen, writhe and jump in the bag, creating a "pitter-patter" sound."

Pitter-patter.

Fifi will know that song! "Storm in a Teacup"

"Pitter patter, pitter patter...one drop of maggots on the sandwiches, doesn't mean to say I wont serve it..."

Back off Corugi, the Helheim Corporation already has the patents on it. Do not make me unleash the Svartálfar brigade armed with surströmming bombs on you.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

So Vondur, we meet again. Now you have the audacity to threaten me with stomach churning Swedish delicacies?

Normally I would consider such impertinence an act of WAR!

But I am feeling peaceful today. Even conciliatory. Here, lets put our differences aside and talk this through. Surely we can reach a mutually satisfactory agreement.

Look. Just stand right here. Yes. Here. Right here on this spot, and I will soon be back with some refreshments. Don't go away now, will you? No. Stay right here and don't move... good... good...

I failed to keep my New Year's resolution before I even made it.

My Dear Corugi, thank you for the spa treatment. It was rather refreshing, for one born in Helheim.

But anyhow, back to the topic at hand. Casu Marzu is found in many European Countries under different names. One has to look back at it's origins when food was scarce, especialy for the poor.

They tended to eat what ever they could. Things such as Casu Marzu, Offal and other things. Over time, it became a delicacy. Funny how something born out of lean times can become a delicacy. Things such as Casu Marzu and Bottarga, as well as Graukäse.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

33333333, Balut is rather good. There is a little filipino couple at the City Market that sell it during the spring months. It is amazing with a splash of hot sauce, and vinegar, with a sprinkle of salt. The secret to a good balut is if the egg is not to old. Anything over a eighteen day old egg is a bit bad. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
