I read that the Pfizer vaccine needs to be stored at - 80 C but is still viable for a couple of days at "higher", although still very cold, temperatures. According to the article I read they've designed a case which can keep it cold for 10 days as long as its not opened. I've recycled all the newspapers ( recycling was collected today ) so I can't check which one I read about the vaccine in but I think it was The Sunday Times (UK) 8th November.

Still waiting for herd immunity. Protect the old and vulnerable - let the rest of us do wtf we want to do.

Sick of this shit now legit depressed.

Without a doubt this is having huge impacts on those who suffer from mental health but we also can't ignore that letting this virus needlessly spread will eventually lead to further deaths among the vulnerable whether you try and protect/shield/isolate them or not.

There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel finally with good progress being made on a vaccine so that's positive + getting outside for a walk, keeping in touch with people (whether its virtually or physically at a distance) and exercising will hopefully go some way to maintaining a good level of mental health especially as the nights start to draw darker for the Northern Hemisphere.

Yup, It's probably not the best idea to not wear a mask, or practice basic safety measures, but it's definitely not a good idea to be sitting inside all day either, smoking cigarettes and eating junk food.

I still continue to wear a mask cus that's whatever such a small thing to do but this whole country/county wide lockdown stuff is just annoying and it clearly does nothing. I don't have a life anymore and I feel like I'll never get it back cus I'm just demotivated and used to being indoors all the time.

Covid: Vaccine or no vaccine, we have to get through this first:
https://www.bbc.com/news/health-54932843

....Health Secretary Matt Hancock has promised the NHS will be ready to start rolling out the vaccine from 1 December if its passes its final regulatory hurdles.

But that doesn't mean the epidemic will be brought to a sudden halt. There is a huge logistical exercise in vaccinating large numbers of people - the UK has bought enough for 20 million people. And don't forget, unlike the flu vaccine, this one requires two doses...

800 new cases today in my county alone (population of about 650k). 22k cases overall.

Yeah... and people are still talking about making Thanksgiving and Christmas plans. I am still doing both but through video conferencing technology.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
