So Michigan has no plans of shutting down despite being the hotspot for COVID right now... because it is young people in hospitals and there is "no appetite" for another lockdown.
Smh.
In past lockdowns did it help/work?
I'm not sure about your state, what I've read about in America is that a lot of people never abided by the lockdown rules, mask rules and protested against it. So maybe they just figured it's easier this way??
It's sad though, as I feel lockdown does help, does save lives.
My husband has got an appointment next weekend to get the 2nd AstraZeneca jab. I haven't heard anything about my 2nd jab but my first one was a week after my husband and it was the Pfizer vaccine. Our vaccinations are being organised by our GP surgery.
Likely' people will need third dose of Pfizer vaccine - chief executive
In a panel discussion that aired on Thursday (local time), Albert Bourla said it was likely a booster shot would need to be administered six to 12 months after the first two.
He also said it's possible that people will need to be immunised against COVID-19 annually, like the flu jab.:

Yes, it does help. If places are shut down the arrogant ones can really only hang out with other arrogant people and these are the ones no one can do anything about. So, yes, some people will not follow the rules, but the majority of us do - at least to some extent.
When we are open, we have to mingle with the idiots in workplaces, daycares (childcare is only allowed for essential workers in a lockdown) and when picking up food from some places (a lot of casual diners on up don't have drive-thru windows). There are obviously more shared spaces, but honestly, I can't remember them. At the very least, the lockdown gives those who aren't arrogant the chance to stay safe.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

>Lockdown
People complain
>No lockdown
People complain
Like bruh? Make up your mind!
Hope you're staying safe though! I can't imagine the frustration. :L
I guess we are a "purple" state. Really, the big cities are mostly blue and the rest is red.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

It's not fair.
We had people that breeched the rules too; I suppose the larger the country/state/city/town/etc the larger the amount of breeches.
Keep yourself safe, wear masks, wash hands regularly, hand sanitise, keep distance as best you can, use your clothing or bag to open doors, locks, push buttons etc.
If I go toilet in a public place after washing hands you still often have to open another door, so I either use paper hand towel to open the door or part of my clothing or my bag, same with pushing buttons on lift or pedestrian crossing. These days it's just toilets I'm mostly fussy with as we are Covid free in my city.
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!
