And no, he hasn't been taking vitamin D even though I've been suggesting he did for months.
Maybe you should suggest it secretly in his food. ;)

Cute cat :)
I've decided I'm going to give my husband a Vitamin D tablet when I take mine. That way he doesn't even have to go to the cupboard and open the packet.

You get him to take it, and he gets a free coffee with it. It's win-win situation!
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great! :)

Story in the UK News yesterday about some guy who'd come back and was obliged to go into an isolation Hotel.

He tried to make a run for it but got stopped so now he's gone on 'hunger strike' complaining the food is not to his liking and he's being 'held under duress'.

He claims to be a Travel Agent and was in Brazil for 2 months on business. Says he can't pay for his isolation stay as he's only got £17 in his bank account. Says it's dirty and the staff are unhygienic.

Thing is, these Hotels are all near airports and this one is a classy one (expensive) and they give a menu choice and cater for dietary needs (not good enough for him apparently). He'd have known about the isolation requirement before returning to the UK so if he objected, why not stay where he'd been for the last 2 months.

Drama llama.

I often give him a glass of water to take it with... I'm not going to pamper him too much. ^_^

According to this article on the BBC news site

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/health-56132391

there is a possibilty that Covid could be triggering type 2 diabetes in some people. I'm sure there'll be more research on this subject.

The report I saw said he wanted to isolate at home. I wouldn't trust him to stay there after he's pulled this stunt. The hotel he's in is a very good one and I don't believe for one minute its as bad as he's saying. If it was up to me I'd keep providing meals and if he won't eat them its up to him.
I hadn't seen anything about him being a travel agent and not being able to pay for the hotel stay. I have to wonder why anyone, even a travel agent, would go across the globe for 2 months during a pandemic that has meant countries are imposing lockdowns at short notice. Tbh he'd have had time to return before the isolation requirement came in as it wasn't imposed overnight.

Apologies for the link to the gutter press! But it's one of the few 'newspapers' that anyone can view without subscription fees or being coerced into turning off your Ad Blocker.

People shouldn't complain about covid jail if they're nice jails.

Who needs freedom if they're bringing catered food to your cell?

I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great! :)

Meet the man who escaped from a COVID hotel in Toronto
https://youtu.be/ZGoNev4O1WQ

Why would he escape?

He's getting a free vacation at the Radison Hotel (and that's almost a 4 star hotel!).

Who wouldn't want a slice of bread, some jam, and an orange for meals?

That's a quality meal. There are people in the world who don't have any food, so, it sounds like he's just complaining for the sake of complaining.

Sure, you're only allowed to open your door when they bring you food or take your temperature, and the windows don't open, but a free vacation is a free vacation.

(but if you don't want the free vacation and would rather stay home to quarantine, you have to pay them $1000).
