If I had young kids I'd not be preventing them from getting the vaccine once trials are complete and show it's safe for them to have it.
Kids routinely get vaccinated for a number of things anyway (MMR) and kids do catch Covid (occasionally very severely). The more humans who are vaccinated, the better the odds are in our favour of getting this pernicious ailment under some sort of control.
Once the kids are done maybe the Teachers will at last stop whingeing about how special they are and how hard-done-by they are (for 5 minutes until they find something else to complain about).

I am increasingly convinced there is a "law of conservation of things to whinge about". If one is solved, more must be invented.

Our countries biggest city has gone into level 3 lock down, while the rest of the country has gone to level 2 as an Auckland family has the UK variant, the lockdown is in place for 3 days at this stage.
If they bloody close the borders this wouldn't have happened. We got rid of it, we got rid of Covid. I just don't understand why they just don't care enough to protect our country, our people and our businesses.
If this virus spreads there will be an outcry, there will be a lot of very angry people...

I can't remember the name of the vaccine, it was for children, it was for Meningitis - this was around 2008. I refused to allow my son to have this particular vaccine as it was new, a little while down the track it was cancelled and new vaccine was put in its place, later down the track this vaccine was stopped and a new one in its place. I can't remember the full stories, if I remember right children were still contracting the disease after the first two vaccines. I can't remember if young person/baby died or not, I just remember it was horrible...
I'm very cautious about vaccines. They shouldn't be taken lightly...
A line in this article does say one of the Political parties seemed to be interfering in the roll-out of the vaccine in 2008:
[i"]Initially, the opposing National Party was not entirely in favour of MeNZB, and was accused of scaremongering......."[/i]
I can't find anything on it in a negative light, I just remember there was something not good and I was pleased I didn't vaccine my son.
