I love Foxgloves but sadly my dog is a grass eater now and then and if she ate any well she would be very unwell. So I can't grow them sadly.

I remember my late Grandfather's garden many many years ago was full of them and he loved growing them. The sad thing is I live next door to where He grew them and they have none at all in their garden now. Shame really it was an awesome sight to see.

I do need to start planning next year as I need a change. Gardens not looking too good this year due to health issues. Hopefully next year I'll get it looking better. :P

Foxgloves are my favourite!

Super excited now that we've finally bought our own house. It has a south facing garden so there should be loads of options xd

Not much to do in the front, so I'm not too fussed at the moment.

HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE

Can't wait to try an indoor tomato bush just for funsies xd

So I planted my dahlia tubers a little latter this year to stop all the bloody slugs and snails making a meal out of them. Shocked this morning while checking them. Just coming through and all eaten again.

What utter baskets they are.

Put a shead load of egg shells * around them now hoping that will stop them. I'm sick to death of snotty slugs and snails.

* - I collect egg shells all year round just for my garden. :P

The far end of our lawn is gradually being overtaken by a low growing purple flowering plant called selfheal. Its very pretty but the grass is gradually disappearing. I'm not sure what to do. Leave it as a wildflower meadow area or get rid of it? Decisions decisions.

If you don't use that section of the garden for much, I'd probably just leave it tbh. I'm sure the bees appreciate it?

The more I think about it the more I realise we'll have to either get rid of the selfheal or greatly reduce the area it covers because our garden isn't very big and it could take over the entire lawn. No rush to deal with it right away though. We've got other things to get done first.

Pie tins with a bit of stale beer. They will be drawn in, and drown. Also diatomacious earth

I have to do something with the snails and slugs lol they are out of hand.

Also checked this morning and saw 1 tub had been ransacked by birds lol. Egg shells everywhere and holes dug into the compost. I hope it was a bird and not a cat having a dump.

Sad really the shoots ahve gone. Hope they come back very soon. My friends dahlia are over 2 feet tall and yet mine were 2-3 inch tall. I'm so late planting them this year.

Fingers crossed.

Can you spot the 2 remaining gooseberries I have left out of about 20.

I've no idea when to pick them. Only having 2 left won't make me a biig crumble lol.

The Rhubarb is looking great. Had 3 harvests from it so far this year and wow it was nice in a crumble.

The 1 of the far left I'm going to move end of the year and it's being smothered by the middle 1 which I may mover over a little to the left. Not sure yet.

It's all looking good even with all the bloody rain.
