Last night I watched a film I've been meaning to get round to for ages: Bombshell (2019)

Wow, what a film!

It's the story of the women who worked at Fox News and were sexually harassed for years by FOX exec. Roger Ailes.

A gripping story and made all the more so because it's based on true events.
An incredible cast too - Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon etc.

An absolute must-watch.

I re watched one episode of Spartacus with mum hoping we would continue. She said she doesn't like the slow motion/backgrounds. Also, I had to skip alot of those parts. Shame...this is a really good show if you can look past that.

My partner and I have been watching the series Lovecraft Country lately. It's an absolutely wild, campy, winding story of a show, with all kinds of supernatural elements, gore, and magic, all of it taking place in the 1950s. Apparently it's originally based on a book of the same name, though I can't imagine what reading that craziness would be like lol.

Watched a couple of episodes of "The English Game" earlier.

Set in the 1880s it's primarily centred on the birth of modern British football but interwoven with side-stories of the main characters and something of a social commentary of the mill owners, and landed gentry, of the time.

I'm not that interested in the football aspect of it (the Ole Man is enjoying that part) but I am watching because it's a period piece (which I love) and has a variety of non-football plot threads running through it.

Edit: I forgot to say it's written by Julian Fellowes, so bound to be rather spiffing.

I watched a new Netflix film, Arkansas.

I was intrigued by all the reviews comparing it to Tarantino films so thought I'd give it a go.
While it's true that it's attempting to emulate Tarantino's style, it doesn't manage to pull it off.

5/10 at best.

Lastnight was moving and kebab night so picked 1 of my fave movies.

I watched wait for it.....
Battle Los Angeles
(2011)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1217613/

It really has a good plot and story. I'm still trying to find any bloopers in it. Not many movies can say they have none. I think this is 1 that has none.

Great movie and not many get 10-10 but this does. ;)

I've just been sent a huge list of bloopers and gaffs lol.... Time to read them and watch the movie again to see if I spot any. Cheers Rooh.

Lastnight I watched a really strange movie but a good action flick.

6 Underground
(2019)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8106534

If you are a Ryan Reynolds fan like me then you will enjoy this movie. Plenty of action and I mean plenty. Lots of blood and gore too. :P
