I was in the mood for lots of bad guys getting their come-uppance, explosions, massive gun fights, good guy always beating impossibly massive odds and not having to engage any brain cells at all whilst watching.
Watched a great low budget scifi film last nigh:
Attack The Block
.(2011)
It's got something that a lot of scifi/horror lacks these days - an original idea:
a housing estate in south London is invaded.
It's November 5th, Bonfire Night and a gang of kids are up to no good, having just mugged someone making their way home... they're interrupted by what appears to be a small meteor hitting a nearby car. They go for a closer look and then... it all goes horribly wrong for the gang.
The film's two lead characters went on to much bigger things after this: John Boyega became Finn in Star Wars, and Jodie Whittaker became Dr. Who.
Highly recommended!
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?
^ Hahaha yep I watched that many years ago before John went to star in Star Wars. Had funny moments.
You should watch Hot Fuzz if you haven't already. Similar vibe. Think it has same director but don't quote me on that.
Last night anyway I watched some Britain's Got Talent. I'll finish it off tonight. I also have to watch The Italian Job like I said I would lol. I'll get around to it at some point dont worry lol
Edit: Btw, you have GOT to watch The Kingsman if you haven't already. Im a massive fan of that

I love Hot Fuzz and all the "Cornetto Trilogy" (Sean of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, World's End)
...and Yup, Kingsman is excellent! Shame about the sequel tho
My viewing last night was yet more horror -
The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
There are wayyyy too many exorcism films, many of them rubbish, but this one's excellent and comes at it from a slightly different angle - a priest is on trial because someone died during the exorcism (not a spoiler, you know that from the very start)

If you like Hot Fuzz you'll probably like Black Sheep. Its a black comedy horror and features genetically modified sheep.
I'm rewatching Angel Has Fallen at the moment.

Amazing film, me and hubby have it on dvd and its one we have rewatched a few times.
Phonebooth from 2002 is also a good watch.
Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
