The highlight of the evening, though, was the first episode of the new series of Amazon's superb
The Boys

That's on my watchlist but I think I'll have to re-watch the first series to get up to speed, I've forgotten most of it :P

I watched the England vs Iceland game yesterday... it was pretty dreary up til the end when both teams got penalties withing minutes of each other.
England got the win at 1- 0 but it wasn't what you'd call a convincing victory.

@Kiwi, totally agree, Chernobyl was the best thing on TV in years.

I actually preferred Chernobyl. Great mini series

Awesome series!

Coincidentally, I just saw the new Kaufman movie "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" last night, which stars Jesse Buckley who is also in Chernobyl. 100% recommend it, very surreal but very good. If you like Kaufman's other stuff, you'll dig it.

I watched another old favourite last night:
Sleepers
(1996)
The story of a group of kids who commit a crime and get sent to a "boys home" (juvenile prison).

Really harrowing in parts, but a fantastic story or revenge and redemption... and an excellent cast including Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Minnie Driver, Kevin Bacon and Billy Crudupp

Another 90s movie for me last night: Grosse Poente Blank .

A dark comedy starring John Cusack about a hitman revisiting the town he grew up in for a school reunion.

Very funny and loads of action!
