Not exactly a festive film, but I watched the brilliant
Wolf Of Wall
Street (2013) last night.

Based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, a wealthy stock-broker who made a fortune but went way too far in his "bending the rules".

Crazy to watch when you remember a lot of it is true and Leonardo Dicaprio is brilliant in it.

reinvented for the self-obsessed modern day and that'll give you an idea of what this film is about - A comet headed for a head on collision with Earth.

The interesting part is how the news would be handled nowadays and this film is a brilliant satirical examination of just that.

Highly recommended!

Oh and... if you watch it, make sure you stick with it right up till the very end of the end titles ;)

I've started watching
Mare of Easttown
on someone's recommendation, and I'm well and truly hooked. Kate Winslet is brilliant in it and it's really well written.
Gripping stuff!

Also watched a film I've not watched in ages: Back to The Future.

I watched an old version of
The Day of the Triffids
(1962? ). It was shown on a digital TV channel called Talking Pictures. Compared to current special effects its not very convincing but I remember when it was originally shown on television and it really scared me! I enjoyed watching it again. :)

I just watched the documentary
Last Breath
, and it was just thrilling the entire way of the movie. Can't ever imagine how I would feel being in the position that the saturation divers were in. A very intense movie that's probably not for the lighthearted so just a warning before you watch, but definitely an interesting story about survival, and lessons about valuing the important things in life. | RuneScape Support | Code of Conduct | Account Security |

last night, it's slowed down a bit from the first episodes but still really intriguing. Kate Winslet is brilliant in it.
