Last night I watched another old favourite of mine (well not that old, 2021)
Donnie Darko
Dark, dark comedy in places and hugely thought provoking with a touch of Sci-fi (wormholes, time travel)... confusing in parts too, but in a good way, it lets you draw your own conclusions.
Superb cast including both Gyllenhaals, Jenna Malone, Drew Barrymore, Patrick Swayze.
Excellent 80s soundtrack too with music from Joy Division, Echo & The Bunnymen, Tears for Fears and one of my favourite cover versions: Mad World.
I recommend it highly but if it's your first viewing, prepare to be baffled.
The longer cut explains things a lot more but that always felt like cheating to me
The bafflement is part of it, just go with it.

Only one episode seen so far and I found it quite heavy and intense and not very engaging, the characters were not particularly fleshed out, but I'll give another episode a go.
Also watching a 3 part adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Ordeal by Innocence". Typical Christie plot full of "It was him" .... "Nooo, it was her" and probably the Butler really did do it (except in this case it's a Housemaid).

I've been recording them so I can binge watch the whole series, I really don't like waiting a week for the next episode. I know we all
had to
do that once upon a time and I feel like a spoilt brat saying it... but it seems so archaic now.
It's had some decent reviews so I'll give it a go after the last episode airs next week.

Help, starring Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham about a Liverpool nursing home for Alzheimer’s patients set during the beginning of the covid 19 pandemic and the relationship which blossomed between "Comer" the carer/nurse and "Graham" the young Alzheimer patient.
Well worth a watch if you ain't already seen it, powerful and amazing parts played by both main characters and also really powerful parts played by every other actor.
Much love
Scouse - Humbled, shocked and so much more aware from now on <3

Lastnight I watched what I feel is the best ever Will Smith movie called
Gemini Man
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1025100/
I'm not going to post any spoilers as it would spoil it. I will say however that I'm a huge Will Smith fan and this movie gets 1 of the highest scores of any movie I've seen as it gets a 10/10 from me. It was that good.
Totally kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie.

Cheers Scouse, I'll definitely be adding that one to my list, two of my favourite actors.
I started watching the third season of
Sex Education
on Netflix... not bad though it's missing some of the humour of the first season.
