I started watching The Lost Symbol. A series based on the book by Dan Brown. I only watched the first episode, I even found it interesting, I hope that during the episodes it doesn't decay.

I watched one of the best things I've seen on TV in a long time last night, the first instalment of a new three part documentary by Peter Jackson...
The Beatles: Get Back

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9735318

It's about The Beatles planning and putting on a rare live appearance that is also being filmed and recorded for a live album.

Over 60 hours of previously unseen material was found and used to make this (no it's not 60 hours long) and the footage has been restored so well that it looks brand new, like it could have been filmed last week. It's absolutely stunning.

It's all done as a "fly on the wall" style documentary, no narrator, a few titles when necessary, but mostly just "The Fab Four" writing, planning, rehearsing and occasionally arguing.

I can't recommend this highly enough. Even if you're not a huge Beatles fan it's still a fascinating look at the way musicians write and perform.

I rarely do this but....
10/10.

It's that good, can't wait to watch episode two.

Peaky blinders. Fully up-to-date for the next season that will hit homes any day now. :D

Looking forward to that, great show :)

I watched (most of) the second instalment of
The Beatles: get Back
.
Rehearsals have ended and the boys move to their studio on Savile Row, having decided against a big studio audience.

Another brilliant episode and a look at the recording techniques as the album starts to take shape.

After George leaving in the last episode, they manage to get him back in the band.

Finished off
The Beatles: Get Back
last night with the last episode concentrating on the famous "gig on the roof" where they played a few songs on top of the Apple Studios building.

Really interesting and watching two London policeman trying to stop it was funny.
Eventually they managed to stop it after being given the run around by all the Apple staff.

I watched a new film on Netflix:
Bruised
, starring
Halle Berry
.

It's awful. Really, really awful.
It's trying hard to be the Mixed Martial Arts version of Rocky but failing in every department.

Wooden acting, predictable story that we've see a hundred times... and for a film about MMA there's very little martial arts in it. It's also wayyyy too long.

1/10 and that's for the fight at the end.
