Have you ever been convinced that you've seen a well-known film, but when you watch it you realise you haven't? :P

Happened to me last night, I was certain that I'd seen
Tremors
(1990).
The other explanation is that it was a long time ago and I'd forgotten everything about it.

Either way, it was fun to watch - a great B movie plot, loads of fun and some brilliant pre-CGI creature effects.

Yet another horror film last night:
Paranormal Activity.

I watch a lot of horror, but this one still creeps me out.

I think it's the fact that it's set in such an ordinary domestic situation, and all very subtle.

I've been watching a few episodes of a German series I just discovered:

Very weird, a bit of a "Stranger Things" vibe.

It's pretty good, though the plot is a bit hard to follow.

I watched a film from 2012 called
Flight
. It was about an airline pilot who managed to land an aeroplane after it went into a headlong dive when a vital part broke. I enjoyed it even though it didn't end the way I thought it would.

Is that the Denzel one?
Really good from what I remember!
You should also check out
Sully: Miracle on the Hudson
(2016, Tom Hanks)... another 'plane related film and a true story... it's absolutely brilliant.

I've tried to get into several new series recently but they haven't grabbed me, so I started
Stranger Things
right from the beginning.

Doesn't look like we'll get season 4 this year but I'm really enjoying watching the old ones again.
