I've always thought of Rock 'n Roll as 50s/early 60s music - Elvis, Buddy Holly etc.
Not sure what category I'd put The Stones in. Rock? I don't know
The Rolling Stones are brilliant though.
I always preferred The Beatles when I was a kid, but have come to appreciate The Stones more over the years.

Rock & Roll was fun back in the days.
Shame it killed my hearing so bad. I was stupid enough to sit too close to the speakers in the pubs and clubs etc.
Now with 35%-40% hearing loss I try not to listen to much music. Only when I'm driving.
I do miss it a lot.
When I do listen to any music in my house both my Parrots start singing.
I loved AC/DC back in the days. Also Elvis.
