That's totally different from what the concept of this thread is talking about. That's a birth defect, not a sign of mental instability. [qu.ote id=23-24-312-63626936-13867-341770025*[quot.e id=23-24-703-65953575-104-341769920*what devastatingly undeveloped senses of humor you all have

I'd guess that people include intersex in LGBT because having that birth defect probably affects the "mental" gender of the person, so that they have a non-standard gender identity (whether one calls that "mental instability" or not is a separate issue).

Hey guys! To quote my earlier post on the definition of intersex;

Intersex

An individual who is intersex is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy (chromosomal, gonadal or anatomical sex) that does not appear to fit the typical definitions of or is not exclusively 'male' or 'female'.

• Do you believe that homosexuality is caused by genetics or environmental factors?

Is it possible it's a by product of some genetic factor?

For example (and keep in mind, this is merely an example and in no way am I implying this is true):

Imagine two genes: One gives an average of two straight children, and zero gay per mother. The other gives four straight children and one gay. The second gene is clearly more evolutionarily advantageous as it gives four straight children to the other's two, but with a "side effect" of one gay child. Homosexuality then is more of a by product rather than an advantageous trait.

I realize that was sort of a ramble, but do you get what I'm saying? Again, I have no idea what really is true, but I'm trying to think of things in terms of evolution. People will often give the retort that since homosexuality isn't evolutionarily advantageous, it has to be a mental illness, or it's not "natural." But I don't think that necessarily has to be true, and I could imagine it in this way.

Also, what is your viewpoint on "pride" events? Are they only for marginalized communities, or can there be events for literally anything?

Original message details are unavailable.

So you're still saying genital mutilation on children is okay.
