Sometimes I wonder if people still remember this show on cartoon network lol
I remember it. I watched a few episodes when it originally aired, but I started watching it seriously a few years ago but stopped around season 5. I was watching through it with a friend when she passed away in a car wreck (not to get all depressing or anything), but I do need to finish it to be honest.
Here, I'll give you this strawberry if you keep it a secret!

Western-kinda-anime: Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'd die to visit the Jasmine Dragon and drink tea with this guy. Good heart. Good humor. Good tea.
It's unfortunate how poor Iroh got humiliated by his brother after ending his military struggle in failure and just wanted to retire out of grief for his killed son. I've always liked how he could act so humbly yet become immensely powerful and ferocious when needed. His patience, resilience, wisdom and calmness showed later throughout the series are virtues that should be admired as well, which are sadly not present in many real-world leaders. Speaking of reailty, his voice actor was awesome at portraying this animated character, too bad he died early on throughout the series.
Sometimes one must operate within the
shadows
to serve the
light
. For a man makes no noise over a good deed, but passes on to another as a vine to bear fruits again in season, in order that the world may ever be new.
