Typical Manchester United getting fleeced. He's nowhere near worth that. If he wasn't English, he would be thirty million maximum.

On another note:

Arsenal fans issuing a statement. Absolutely pointless. If you're unhappy with the way your club is being run, get some courage and actually do something meaningful. Like boycott matches, don't buy merchandise, refuse to watch games. Empty stadiums might make Stan Kroenke care. Probably not, but it's better than giving that clown any more money.

I can't see it though. If people won't boycott Manchester City because of their owners, then there is no real hope for any meaningful boycotts in the division.

80m Maguire at the very least sounds a bit better than 100m+ Koulibaly, who is 2 years older. Maguire is the same age as Pogba.

I'd prefer it if they just gave Tuanzebe the chance though - he's become 21 years old now, the very same age as Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Marcus Rashford.

Just hope you won't be "doing a Fulham" with this level of spending.

Our transfer window is completely different to Fulhams, many clubs have spent big after coming up and then stayed up, Sunderland, Bournemouth, Watford, Wolves....Fulham just happened to go over 100m which was always going to happen compared to the previous, when comparing the current market prices.

Fulham made 5 panic buys on the very last day of the window, mostly older players too who come in on big wages.

Villas signings have been 100% what we need and still aren't complete, 3 of the 8 signings being players who were on loan last season, 3 out of the 4 very important loan players, Tammy Abraham being the 1 who won't be coming back, hence 22m spent on a new striker.

7 1st team squad players were released, 4 loan players who were also 1st team players returned, there is 11 that needed replacing.

Anyway, our season tickets have sold out (30,000) the owners are megarich, we have Atleticos former sporting director sorting transfers, everything is just in place to get us back where we should be …. but obviously don't deserve to be right now, staying up will be the 1st big step to getting there and that is the only thing important this season
Shaw, Williams, prepared to venture down the left. There’s a good ball in for Tony Morley. Oh, it must be... It is... Peter Withe !

They actually appointed Steve Bruce. Fucking hell.

And as for this, just LOL, to be fair, if Bruce can get them playing his horrible football and they're all fully behind him, he may keep them up, need to remember he did once upon time have Birmingham finishing 8th in the Prem … also when you look at Sunderland now, he didn't do terrible there and he was actually very highly though of by the Sheffield Wednesday fans.

Problem is the Newcastle fans are staying away by the sounds of it (12k un sold season tickets) the atmosphere is going to be miserable the moment anything doesn't go there way, it doesn't look like they will be spending much (I wouldn't trust Bruce to sign players anyway) so yeah he has a very difficult job ahead
