That was the case in the U21 Euros too. I hate penalties, so the increase in them has made me like football even less.

U21 Final was okay. Spain played really good for like twenty minutes then Germany played poorly for the rest of it, whilst Spain did really nothing except moments of interesting play. Spain were defensively sound at least and deserved the win in the end.

Dani Ceballos was player of the tournament for me. Just vastly better than everyone else I've seen during the tournament.

Ceballos has been great in the spanish youth setups for years, in addition to his time with Real Betis. Which makes his time, or lack thereof, at Real Madrid so as Zidane does not seem to rate him.

Might be forced to give him more play time in central midfield this season though as Real Madrid only have Ceballos and Federico Valverde as cover for their main starters Kroos, Modric (who is now 33...), Casemiro now.

On the other hand they've been hoarding wingers/attacking midfielders and strikers with 5 forwards, 3 right wingers, 5 left wingers and 2 attacking midfielders contracted to their first team currently.

Hopefully he doesn't waste away at Real Madrid. If given the chance, I think he could perform exceptionally well in the right system.

On another note. Chile's future doesn't look to great at the moment. Pretty much all of their best players are around thirty or even older. They don't seem to have any real promising younger players either.

Well, we signed Mings and now look set to take our spending to over 100m :O these owners must be business, must stay up 1st though and push on after.
