Thank you. We are hoping they will be ready for visitors tomorrow so I can have my first cuddle. They live around 125 miles away so it will take us at least 2 hours to get there.

edit to add: He was born last night and by the time all the health checks etc were done it was early this morning. The new parents were so tired they had to get some sleep before letting the grandparents know about the lovely addition to the family.

Thank you. We went to visit the new parents yesterday and I had several cuddles with my grandson, he's beautiful. He's only a few days old so sleeps a lot so I didn't really see him with his eyes open. He's very placid ( so far ) and only cries when hungry, needs his nappy changing or has his clothes changed.
