Happy anniversary!
I think its traditional for coral gifts at 35 years but I'd use the colour and not actual coral items. It was our 40th ( ruby ) anniversary last year but we didn't celebrate due to Covid. We had booked a cruise to Norway to see the fjiords, of course it was cancelled.
We've rebooked for this September but we don't know if it will go ahead, all the earlier cruises for that ship have been cancelled.
We have a sweet gum, a sour gum (black tupelo), a tulip tree (rescued as a stepped on 2 leaf seeding), a river birch, an Ohio buckeye, a hawthorn, a white ash, a white pine, a pin oak, and a silver maple.
Still looking for a sassafras tree that needs adopting (my favorite tree).

My wife and i both had 4 years of Spanish in high school. In our senior year we read Don Quixote in Spanish. Today we remember little of the language. My favorite Spanish expression is, "no me gustan albóndigas y arroz".
On a brighter note, we met because of Spanish. We were both officers in the high school Spanish club.
Today is our 35th wedding anniversary!
Don Quixote is a classic! I too studied Spanish Linguistics and this book is a must. Congratulations on your 35th anniversary! Your marriage is older than a lot of people
