That makes me think of the difference in setups me and the fiancé have. I have a small laptop and he's got this big fancy desktop with flashing lights and two huge monitors lol
How do you function with one screen?!?!?!
To put it simply: you can't miss what you've never had.
Guess that is true lol.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
Tbh my problem is the desk. Or the lack of a decent desk. Or room for anything even approximating one.
I had to fill a form in the other day for my work - now we all work from home the insurance changes.
Is there enough light? No.
Is it warm enough?" Nope.
Are there any fire hazards? Beyond counting. And thats without looking around.
Is anything remotely safe? Not even the air.
Omg - the monitor on the left - its the wrong way round?!?!?!
Either you found a font that was rotated 90 degrees or its sorcery. I suspect the latter!
I was joking. Seriously thanks for the tips. I genuinely didnt know that 'monitor stands' existed.
As it happens, the 90 degree thing would be very helpful for me.
Maybe. Id have to experiment.
I just drilled into my desk and it seems to be alright. You can also just use the clips, but I like the security of drilling. VESA is the "standard" for stand measurements and the actual monitors need the VESA holes in the back. Other than that, it os super straightforward.
Also, sorry, part of my job is starting from the beginning and moving towards the user's knowledge.

There are also stand up desks, fyi. My work station at...work has one and it is great for walking and working if you are gaining a few pounds lol...
