It's probably just me getting old and thinking "
everything used to be better back in the day
" but I can't remember the last time I saw proper dense fog.
I remember when we had a combination of power cuts (so no street lights) and really dense fog. That was fun.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?
We don`t seem to get the all enveloping fog here like we used to years ago either.
Sometimes we get a blanket of mist at dawn, laying along the river so you just see the top of the uprights of the bridge sticking out of it, but cannot remember the last time we have had to drive with the lights dipped and needing to crawl along because visibility is so poor.
Yeah I live right along the river, close to the ocean, and we get soooooo much fog in the early mornings. It's quite beautiful honestly.

I kind of feel bad for people who hear either Rap or Metal and instantly think "this is shit", or any other genre of music to be honest.
I've found great music in every genre I can think of, and don't hate any genre I've heard. I can't imagine hating an entire genre of music and refusing to listen to it.
Closest to that for me is Country, but I've found a few country artists I like, although I don't listen to them often.
Although I'm probably an extreme case: there's something about jazz - specifically 'modern' jazz of the Cleo Laine/Johnny Dankworth/Tubby Hayes variety - that I find so repulsive that I have to turn it off or leave the room if I hear it.
Maybe it's to do with the offensively discordant cacophony of the (non) arrangement of notes but it actually makes me feel immediately .... idk .... stressed, uncomfortable, almost angry. Like it triggers my 'fight or flight' mechanism.
There's various genres that I don't listen to by choice simply because I don't like them much but none have this visceral effect. I've loathed jazz ever since I was a little kid.
