I always buy cheap stuff, or stuff that's on clearance. I really liked going to secondhand shops when I lived in a small town. You could always find really nice stuff there!

However, where I work now... despite the discount, none of the prices are worth it unless it's HEAVILY discounted, like less than $20 a piece discounted.

And even then, I won't spend more than $30 when I'm there, if I AM shopping.

Just... no. It's not worth it lol
Arrr! Only th' Devil an' I know th' where'bouts o' me treasure, an' th' one o' us who lives th' longes' should take i' all.

My friends are currently living in temporary accommodation while their house is being radically renovated so as a favour I said they could redirect their mail to me, so parcels and such would arrive safely (not convenient for them at the temporary address).

I've been gobsmacked over the past 6 weeks at how much stuff they order over the internet and how often I have to sit at home waiting for a scheduled delivery. Literally, dozens and dozens of items.

Some of it was vital, to be fair, like Insulin and needles for their Diabetic cat. But the last thing on my mind would be to order a new soap dish or some leopardskin leggings while I'm stuck in temporary accommodation. Added to which, these myriad purchases are clogging up my spare bedroom.

Does everyone constantly order small items from the Internet, I wonder? Like, almost daily it would seem. Why not just go to the shops and buy what you need (she doesn't work so has plenty of time).

I think I must be the very antithesis of a Shopaholic.

I mean I order my Fixodent and denture cleaning paste online, manly because it's cheaper to buy it online in bulk than in stores.

Might buy clothes once every few months, but I'll generally buy those at a thrift store.

Groceries, go to the grocery store for them.

Did buy a new graphics tablet the other day because my old one was getting pretty worn out. Had all kinds of scratches in it. Was only 60 dollars for a new one with the same active space, 4 times the pressure sensitivity and a pen that didn't need to charge, so I decided to go for it. But that's actually a rare expense for me.
