I don't know if "addiction" is the right word -- I think a significant part of dieting/exercise is habit formation.
I started working out this summer, and I have been pleased with the results so far. I feel stronger and have probably lost 5 lbs or so.
Maybe, but I'm on a 1400 calorie a day diet and burn about 400-500 calories a day. I hated it at first, but losing 4 lbs in 2 weeks is quite the high. For reference, 4 lbs is about 10% of my goal for total weight loss.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Plus I started my computer science degree since I'm already professional programming and solving all sorts of issues via the computer anyway. Might as well make it formal and get paid properly for it lol.
Exercising the mind and body!

Honestly I'd never understood the apparent significance of brand name clothing. Never even heard of most of these brands until I started working with them. My god.

It never ceases to amaze me how vain people are.

There's definitely an argument for
some
name brand clothing - it's usually better made.
Obviously there are silly extremes where people will pay thousands just for a famous name, but I don't mind paying a little bit more if something is well made and likely to last longer.
I've got a leather jacket that was expensive...ish (not silly money but a few hundred) but it looks as good today as it did when I bought it 20 years ago.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?
I rarely buy new clothing. A lot of my clothing is a decade old. I generally buy cheap stuff. I think the most I've ever paid for, for a t-shirt, was like £30.
