Yes, it has happened to me - maybe the filling was already needing repair??

Very possibly. It was an old amalgam (silver) one at the back that I'd got some time in my 40s.

I had several of those but got them dug out some years back and replaced with the white composite resin type when I read somewhere that the amalgam ones gave people early dementia!!! Idk if that's true or not. Probably too late for me now anyway.....

I suppose the white ones look better, if you happen to yawn in public and don't put your hand over your mouth, lol
