I don't know how some people have the cheek to call themselves "artists" or their work "art".
Consider Guillermo Vargas. At an 'art' gallery he tied up an already-starving dog. On the wall behind it (where it couldn't reach) he pasted the words 'You are what you read' ... in dog food.
He displayed his 'art' until the poor dog died of starvation and thirst.
People actually paid money to go and see that.
I remember thinking at the time I read about this that, if I were a multi-millionaire, I'd have hired someone to 'whack' him in the most painful way imaginable.

I like performance art, I like art that speaks in strange ways or makes people uncomfortable, and I like outsider art... but this is not any of that.
This isn't even art, that's just animal abuse and exploitation and that's awful

I'm not into art at all, especially 'modern' art (whatever that is). I seriously dislike paintings that are just a load of vertical or horizontal lines - I fail to see anything talented in that, my young nieces and nephews could do it (and do).
Things like a lightbulb that just goes on -and off -an on - and off ...... wut?
Or a dustbin full of rubbish. Or an unmade bed. I just don't get the feels.

Why is there so much of making ....
that
.... noise in your neighbourhood in January or February? Except to annoy you, of course. There must be more to it than that?

First year in a long while that I'll actually be doing anything for Christmas. Most of my family live out in Texas so we're going down to visit them this year. :~) I don't have much family but this year should be better than just sitting at home all day.
Texas! Gosh, that's quite exciting (well, for me anyway, never been there).
I hope you have a smashing time. I too have had some years where precisely nothing has happened and I've sat at home feeling bored
Yes! I've been once recently to Austin and I'm very excited to visit again and see my family. Thank you very much! I hope your holidays are awesome too!
We spend a lot of our holidays at home (my mother and I) since our family is so distant. :~(
Just call me Vee.
