the amount of wildlife killed by cats is big compared to dogs
that alone is reason to favour a dog over a cat. when outside your cat is harming wildlife even if it doesn't kill anything
I've just googled cats killing wildlife and there was an article just released in Australia where a study claims they're killing 1million birds a day.
I seem to remember the number in the USA per year being in the billions.
mostly it is feral cats put they can breed with pets.
That being bad presumes that the killing is unnatural and not just a normal part of a cat's life. Cats don't eat dry food in nature.
