See, after getting to the 30th page (of 84), I can see that the first source is all about understanding and, well, parenting, someone with aggressive behaviors. A ton of sources are like this, which isn't bad, but unfortunately it doesn't help. I can understand why the behavior is happening, but I am not the parent, I can't parent this away. I see the kid every other weekend. I definitely appreciate you trying to help though! (People on other platforms are quick to give me a whole psyche eval and are overall, useless)

I am looking for something that will tell me straight up if an autistic can cope with a newborn or something similar. I know a trigger can be noise, but would he hurt the newborn to cope with the situation?

I can go sleep at my parents with the kid when he is around, but if there just aren't statistics or information to back up my fears, then I don't want to. I just can't find sources on it.

See, I can't parent this out of him though. He has episodes and I only see him every other weekend. Any strategy that I try to impose will be reversed within those two weeks and, tbh, likely would only begin to work after he is gone, if at all.

I mean, if there are no statistics on this and only self-help understanding and parenting guides, I'm okay with that as well, but I thought I would try to find -something- before moving forward with any decision. I just figured there would be something out there to tell me if I am being irrational or not in regards to the risks.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Abstract
Children with autism often lack appropriate means to communicate and may rely on aggression and other disruptive behaviors to express their needs. This may be a particularly serious problem when aggression occurs toward an infant or toddler, who could be severely injured by an older sibling. This study examined the use of functional assessment and individualized parent-implemented intervention plans in the home setting, including functional communication training with relevant ecological manipulations. Data were collected in the context of a multiple baseline design across three families. The results showed that after the intervention there were: (1) large reductions in the children's aggression toward their infant or toddler sibling, (2) increases in parent and child happiness level, and (3) increases in strangers' level of comfort with respect to interacting with the family. The results are discussed in terms of improving the overall quality of life for families of children with autism.

I appreciate it, I do, but I can't implement parenting techniques. I just need to know the risks, but I can't find anything like, say, the statistics on autistic kids hurting babies. All I get are forums that don't link to anything credible. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

If you aren't the parent, than you have to communicate with the parents and ask them to work with you. Maybe see the person in question more often. Seek professional help of a psychologist / neurologist.

Statistics can be falsified.

Credible: Check the links on this page. They lead to academic source texts.
Statistics: Can be falsified. No guarantee what so ever

And the same type of /r/advice. I'm really looking for some statistics. Why don't they exist? They seem to exist for every other topic ever.

I know there are a few on the autistic spectrum here, which I was kind of hoping would have better information.
