Finished Durarara!! on Monday, damn, things got real in the middle, and near the end, awesome stuff. Celty, Shiz*o <3
Somehow hooked on Pilot's Love Song, planned out a pretty straightfoward plot, and introduced a cute af girl for company for the mc. Was first interested cuz of Claire and the fact it involved flying in jets haha.
edit: Toonari no Seki-kun is a 10/10 for me, always top-notch stuff in a span of ~7mins. Even the OP/ED are top-notch imo haha

Hey, everyone! Just stumbled upon this thread, and I'm very intrigued. I've always watched anime since I was younger, and I still watch it to this day. My favorite is the Gundam series, hands down. I've watched every series from start to finish and though I've watched some a couple times, I've never lost interest. I've also watched the classics like Cowboy Bepop, Full Metal Alchemist, and so on.
Currently, I'm trying to get into some newer anime, and while my friends have suggested some, I'm still struggling to really get into them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm open to all.

I've watched a few newish anime recently that I really enjoyed, i'll list some possibilities to look into.
Blue Exorcist - 26 episodes, lots of action, some good characters and overall very enjoyable.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica - 13 eps - pretty good, the first 3 episodes will mislead you as to the type of anime it is. It is rather sad, and if I had to say anything negative it's that it's overly sad. However the plot is still good.
Attack on Titan - One of the newest and most successful anime on the scene (2013). It's got 26 episodes but I think they will be making another season. It was very action packed and there were some great scenes. Both this and blue exorcist have extremely action packed beginnings which get you super hooked.
Sword Art Online - (25 episodes) It's a mix between romance and comedy but it's done so well. You will be hooked and I'd say it peaks all the way through to episode 14, whereby it's still good but does lose a bit of its amazingness.
Other good choices, may not be overly new though.
- Soul Eater - 51 eps (action)
- Death Notes - 34 eps (i think) mentally engaging
- Code Geass - 51 eps Kinda like death note but with lots of action (personal favourite)
- Fairy Tail - 175 eps and ongoing manga, kinda like the next naruto, but much less terrible.
- Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! - both hilarious and not too many episodes
- Ouran Highschool hostclub is also pretty funny (no action though it kept me interested)
- Vampire knight, it's ok, bit ** tho
Let me know what you decide on! (if any). If your having trouble breaking in I suggest go for something like Blue exorcist or Attack on Titan. They gripped me from the very beginning. Good luck!

Without trying to sound elitist, most of what Paladrons recommended is fairly popular, but not considered good. It's basically a 15 year old boy's watch-list. That might be you, I don't know, but based on your preferences you'll probably like these:
Baccano!
Madoka
Darker than Black
Gurren Lagann
Kill la Kill is the most popular currently-airing series, so you might want to look into it as well.

Just finished watching the 10-episode Hellsing Ultimate series. Definitely, the undisputed best action anime I've watched. There is no holding back with the action scenes, definitely super recommended to anyone looking for epic action scenes in an anime series.
Been on an anime bender lately, finishing up series I started way back when but had let fall to the wayside in favor of other things. Cleared the last few episodes of Suisei no Gargantia tonight, looks like I left it off right as it hit the good bit. Still working on Saki: Achiga-hen. Also catching up on last season stuff like Kill la Kill.
Also working on learning Japanese mahjong. It's easy enough to watch Saki without knowing anything about the game, but I reckon I'll probably enjoy the
pantiless girls
mahjong action more if I understand the game better. Not getting on to well with this, can barely figure out how the set-up works...

I am currently watching stuff that I put on my watch later list a long time ago. I have been learning Japanese, since I don't like looking at romanization of the language. I would like the runescape forums to support japanese text so I can type in it, but I imagine it would take too much away from other things.
Wow, I can't believe this thread is still up. It's been awhile since i've been on here. Anyways, I just finished watching Midori no Hibi. What an interesting anime. For those of you who like comedy romance animes, this is a really good one to watch.
