right now the one i'm most eagerly awaiting has gotta be date alive. so far its been a great show, but it has this feeling about it where if it where to take even a single wrong step it would just crash and burn.

also what do you think of hentai ouji? i'm currently thinking it's lacking something but that could solely be because i've already read it's source material and know about most of the gags and plot points

All i can really say about hentai ouji at the minute is well...meh i mean im entertained by it and its cute as hell at times but its nothing special so far. As for date a live i really like it so far and ill be happy as long as he PICKS A GIRL by the end of the series.

The shows i look forward to watching the most at the minute is probably suisei no gargantia or valvrave

And its about bloody time to. I was getting half tempted to take a bus up to Cambridge so that I could ask in person what was taking so bloody long.

So anyway, I (finally) finished Rewrite (Key's 2011 offering for those of you who have forgotten) and all I can honestly say about the ending is '....Dafaq?'. The ending itself is weird enough with the temporal oddities, the main character turning into a tree and people walking around on the moon, but in the end the whole thing turns out to be a massive, 50+ hour metaphor for 'F*** environmentalism, its choking human evolution'. I honestly have no idea how I'm meant to respond to that.

This forum really might as well be dead...

Valvrave is supposed to be a parody of the mecha genre, right? Because holy **** this is terrible. It's no wonder people generally don't like mecha these days, it's because of garbage like this.

It looks like F2P can post again. I was getting ****** since I took so much time leveling this account to 350 total and was locked out 5 days later.

"well evangelion 3.0 was amazing and it looks beautiful"

I'll forgive you for that since I just watched something even more idiotic: Mirai Nikki. Yuki was a thinly veiled Shinji clone (just as Akise was a thinly veiled Kaworu clone, complete with homolust for Yuki) except that he starts off as a ***** and stays a ***** for the entire series. I don't like to apply the terms 'alpha' and 'beta' to people, but Yuki is King of the Betas (particularly at the end of the last episode, what the ****?). He spends the first half of the show abjectly cowering in fear whenever he meets another diary owner. Most of the sideshow characters are supposed to have sympathetic backstories but it was hard to empathize with someone who is a cold-blooded killer. Incidentally, the other diary owners have no problem killing dozens of civilians but don't kill each other when given the chance.

Gasai Yuno is the only reason I didn't drop the show. Mirai Nikki has no other redeeming qualities. It was actually pretty fun to watch her, if only to see who she was going to murder in a psychotic rage every episode. I've never seen anything quite like it. The only problem is that she stifles any character development Yuki has which makes for annoyingly repetitive plot arcs. And oh God, the plot. There were dozens of holes the size of the gaping pit in Yuno's backyard scattered throughout.

Apart from the fact that every character acts like they're as brain damaged as an NFL veteran ("I know you just tried to kill me, but we can put all this behind us and still be friends right?" "Yeah, sounds good.&quot ;) , the concept of God and parallel dimensions turned into a complete train wreck of an ending. "Deus ex Machina" is a pretty apt name for God since it turns into asspull after asspull and destroys any remaining suspension of disbelief.

Cont.
