Here's a few good animes that I enjoyed.
- Clannad + Clannad ~After Story - A drama/romance anime. It's a really good all around anime but it gets really intense in After Story. It breached my manliness and made me cry.
- Air - Another drama/romance anime. Really good like Clannad but can be VERY confusing if you don't pay attention.
- K-ON! + K-ON!! - A comedy/slice of life anime. Really fun and somewhat inspirational. I'm loving it. Second season is wrapping up soon. So you're not far behind if you want to start.
- Death Note - A Mystery/Psychological Thriller anime. Really interesting and keeps you guessing till the very end. If you don't mind the theme of people dying then this is a great anime.
All I can think of off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure all of them are english dubbed if you don't watch subbed. (Not sure about K-ON! though. Pretty sure it's been/being dubbed.)

I would like to add to that list, but, unfortunately, the anime I would like to suggest has been removed from Youtube.

So, anyone seen the most recent (8th) episode of HOTD yet? I think thy have discovered a revolutionary way to make use of slow motion
