@Raikenzera I've seen Angel Beats, Elfen Lied, Fullmetal Alchemist, FMA: Brotherhood, or at least what Netflix has to offer of Brotherhood, and I just watched the first episode of Death Note the other day. I'll have to check into Clannad, though.
@Ratonhaketon If you're looking for sports anime, Hajime no Ippo is a great boxing anime. I don't watch much of anything involving sports either, but that was recommended to me once, and I loved every minute of it.

@ Shyboy 6D9 - Thanks for that, heard some good things about it will check out sometime :p. Another sports anime I found was Area no Ki***, it's about soccer and also serves up a slice of life as well, fairly interesting so far :d.
