So 20 episodes have pass already of the second half of the series. What do you think? Getting epic each episode eh?
I say the Straw Hat pirates will get to the New World in the anime by the end of this year.

Meh, Naruto's okay. I've watched it and enjoyed it, but in all honesty, I think it's overrated. Not saying it's a bad show, but it kind of ticks me off when people are like "Oh my god, It's the best thing ever!" If it's your favorite anime, then good for you. But please don't start trying to force that belief on other people. Also, I suffer from massive hype aversion (basically, if it's uber popular I will avoid it for a time just because everyone loves it, the exception being videos games) Anyway, so I can't really give a favorite Naruto character.
Also, can't comment on the One Piece post either. I haven't been keeping up with the anime or the manga, so I have no idea.
Now, someone please tell me why I have nothing better to do than come onto this thread everyday?

^ Don't feel bad, I'm on this thread everyday too.
It's not that I don't have friends to hang out with or parties to go to, it's just that I enjoy being by myself.
But yeah, I will never watch Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece.

Wow, I know right this thread is awesome and
I agree, I will never watch Naruto, Bleach or One Piece as well, it's bad enough having a friend who loves Bleach, I think it's overrated. On the other hand he also watches Fairy Tail which he think is better than Bleach so ..at least he doesn't consider it "way awesome". I was also very disappointed when I went to Japan, it's not just that my host student happened to like One Piece, the only anime merchandise I saw being sold around where I was staying was One Piece and.. Naruto. My host student said "One Piece and Naruto are very popular in Japan".. Yeah... really ;__; are you sure it's just not around where you live? T_T. I mean if people like it they can watch it, but it's just not my thing. I would just get annoyed if it was watched around me, e.g: my cousin came over once and he was watching Naruto on our desktop computer.
...
BTW I've seen some episodes of those anime before, it just doesn't appeal to me.
I know there are lots of better epic anime out there, I just need to find them. >:[ I haven't really been bothered to look thoroughly through a list of anime.

Actually, One Piece is very popular in Japan right now but I did not know Naruto was popular in Japan too as I heard it was popular only in North American.
Anyway, I would love to go to Japan someday. Wouldn't anyone else would? It would be Anime Paradise.

Yeah, One Piece is the most popular series in Japan. And it should be, it's one of the best.
@ Marineford,
Don´t assume Japan is crazy about anime just because they make it. If anime is your reason for visiting Japan, be sure to check out Akihabara. :P

@Marineford
Yup, me. Already started taking an online Japanese course so that I can communicate to at least a basic degree. Was planning to get there by the time I turned 20, but that's long been and gone since various things kept making me need to take money out of the holiday fund. I set myself a goal of $6000, got to $2000, had to fix/register/insure my car, back to $600 and now all that's going into a trip to Norfolk Island later this year so that I can return my grandfathers ashes to his homeland. Sigh, ill get there one day lol.
Anywho's, were you planning on going besides the obvious, anime centric parts of Tokyo. Trying to build up a list of both cultural and anime centric locations so that I can do everything while im there, which is the reason I set my goal amount so high. I figure if I take a red-eye flight and stay in a really cheap motel/back of a car then I should be able to stretch my budget pretty far (assuming I dont go crazy and blow it all the moment I arrive in Tokyo lol).
Aside from the obvious landmarks that your meant to visit in Japan, im gonna make something of an anime pilgrimage out of it. Tokyo Tower, that crosswalk that always shows up in Chaos;Head/Steins;Gate (its a real place, found it by accident when I was on Google maps), the town of Shir*kawa (the base for Higurashi's Hinamizawa) and any other more real anime-featured locations that I can think of, i figure thats a good way to see everything.
