You have to take into mind though that not all Japenese cartoons are anime. It is hard for me to say this, though Pokemon is a american written show (BTW, they ruined it) it still is a anime. Also, this counts for shows like Batman, Brave and Bold, Justice League, Etc. A lot of shows based around super heroes are animes.

Both. Although Subbed is generally better I do enjoy both. Since I'm concentrating on the subtitles it does takes away some of the effort put into the artwork. If I'm lazy I'll watch dubbed, if I'm not I'll watch subbed.

I really don't mind some dubs, people always make a big deal over them being so bad but there not really, the one thing that matters with both is the quality and translation, if they change all the names on of everything then I get upset but otherwise if they stay true to how things are meant to be I'm happy. Although I do usually tend to go with subs because I can't wait for something to get dubbed but if its something that's been out for a while I get dual Audio versions so I make my own mind up on what I like.

Apparently there is a major difference in the dubbed and subbed versions of Akira, some of the english language dubs are different from each other. Why?
I've seen the 2000 release dub, but apparently it's different from the subbed version.
