I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Revive on this. Naruto just ticked me off more than almost any other anime. Way too many fillers, annoying characters, and the plot never really interested me. Basically, it's the kind of anime beginners watch until they find truly great anime (to name one, Angel Beats). I mean no offense, it's just my opinion.

I recently finished Cube x Cursed x Curious and Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai.
Currently watching Guilty Crown, Baby Please Kill Me, and some mainstream stuff (Bleach, Fairy Tail).
Eagerly awaiting the second season of Fate/Zero coming this spring at April.

Without Naruto, hardly anyone would watch anime.
Itachi and Jiraiya, two of the best-developed characters of all anime.
Fillers: What's the problem? You don't have to watch them, they're usually complete arcs from episode x to y. Keyword: skip.
Plot: you don't watch Naruto for it's plot though it really tries to have one. If you did watch it for the plot, than it isn't your kind of anime, doesn't make it bad.
Saying Naruto sucks is just as ignorant as saying it's the best. There are better series, and Angel Beats is probably one of them (havent seen), but there is MUCH worse. I.e every ecchi, harem, moe, loli, and half of the c**p that airs every season.
Applied example: Post above me, every anime of first two paragraphs.
Average summery of 90% of all anime: "Insert title" is about your average highschool student. Right...
