The age one is able to fall in love and comprehend the meaning behind it is debatable. Besides like Earnshaw said, it's only anime and is not real. I found my post from MAL back from when I just finished watching it:
My whole problem is that it didn't even fit with the show's image. It's supposed to be a comedy that doesn't take itself seriously and jokes around with the thought of an incestuous relationship. Then it does a complete 180 and goes over the top with ridiculous amounts of melodrama and tries to genuinely tackle the sensitive issue of incs*. Meanwhile I'm just staring at my computer going "what?" It doesn't even make sense.
What's even worse is that the producers/writers didn't even have the conviction to truly stick with a Kirino ending, they just BS the whole thing, end their relationship right at the end of the show, and practically laugh it off as a joke. Then we're back at square one and didn't solve one. f-ing. thing.
To be honest if they wanted a Kirino ending, the much better thing would've been revealing that they aren't blood related. I know it would've been a massive asspull, but I feel it would've fit the mood of the show a lot more.
I really don't care who Kyousuke ends up with as long as he picks one of them. I'd take Ayase personally, but whatever.
