I have never seen a case where the dub is better than the sub. I'll admit that there are some dubs that aren't BAD... e.g. Cowboy Bebop, but they are never better.
Japanese voice actors just put so much more emotion into their acting and they actually become the character, whereas the English voice actors rarely match the character and just sound emotionless to me.

The original is always better be it a Japanese cartoon or a painting. Just because a new colour is added doesn't make it a better painting. Because you don't know the intentions of the painter when he made it. Same goes for dub, they usually match voices with the looks without interpretating the characters well enough.
Dragonball Z sub IS better. But since the USA wants DBZ to be an agressive action show instead of adventerous happy-go-lucky, a cultural difference between USA and Japan, sub is criticized.
Ah well, I'm neither English speaking nor Japanese, so there's no reason for me to watch the dubs anyway. So I'll go with the original (superior) version. And I happen to find the japanese language to be beautiful ^_^ .
Continueing on I Revive, Seiyuu (voice actor) IS a serious profession in Japan, whereas dub uses movie stars/famous people or Game voicers. Seiyuu are much better trained and experienced.

Why is it people always go bashing on dubs?
When was the last time you even watched a dub?
I mean sure, most dubs are average, however, I have really one seen ONE anime which puts you to sleep with its voice actors? One of the best English voice actors imo is Vic Mignogna, I mean, there is PLENTY of untapped talent out there, mainly because Anime is gaining popularity in English speaking countries but as such, is still not something to make a fortune from.
Give it time and I believe people will change their minds.

"Why is it people always go bashing on dubs?"
- poor selection of voice actors
- weak pronounciation of japanese names and stuff
- dub is behind the sub
- because some dub-watchers bash on subs
- because anime doesn't suit the western ideology
- because english people sometimes think theyre the only ones watching anime
- sometimes, the dub is just plain bad
- american voice actors do not have the experience and stuff seiyuu have
basically whats said above. -_-
"When was the last time you even watched a dub? "
Last saturday.
"Give it time and I believe people will change their minds. "
Why should we? I mean, if germans were to dub anime would you celebrate it and claim it better/good? English is not the ultimate language, it happens to be spoken by many people. Japan makes the anime, so I at least owe them to watch their efforts.

=============
"Poor selection of voice actors" - Can only work with what your given. If anime picks up, more money to spend on better voice actors.
"Weak pronunciation of names" - Can you pronounce Japanese names easily and keep your accent?
"Dub is behind sub" - OPINION
"Because some dub watchers bash on subs" - As you are doing now?
"Because anime doesn't suit the western ideology" - Maybe because all characters are JAPANESE?!
"Because English people sometimes think the're the only ones watching anime" - Who is this? Besides, they are just adapting it as best they can. If you buy dubbed anime, more money can be spent in developing actors.
"Sometimes the dub is just plain bad" - OPINION. Good dubs include Angel Beats, FMAB and Big Windup!
"American voice actors do not have the experience and stuff seiyuu have" - Experience comes with time. Also, it is where you don't understand Japanese that most people get the ILLUSION that it is better because they don't know what to expect.

The western voices don't suit the Japanese way, so it'd be a waste of money. It works the same way around: I don't see japanese people voicing the simpsons.
"Can you pronounce Japanese names easily and keep your accent? "
No, that's why it is more pleasant to hear it out a Japanese person.
"Dub is behind sub" - OPINION "
I meant there are more sub episodes because they air first.
"Because some dub watchers bash on subs" - As you are doing now?"
No, I don't bash on subs.
"Because anime doesn't suit the western ideology" - Maybe because all characters are JAPANESE?!
Nope they aren't, watch baccano or Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
"Because English people sometimes think the're the only ones watching anime" - Who is this? Besides, they are just adapting it as best they can. If you buy dubbed anime, more money can be spent in developing actors. "
What's the point of overglorying English anime if you are not even English...
"Sometimes the dub is just plain bad" - OPINION. Good dubs include Angel Beats, FMAB and Big Windup!
It's is both a fact that there are good dubs and bad dubs.
"American voice actors do not have the experience and stuff seiyuu have" - Experience comes with time. Also, it is where you don't understand Japanese that most people get the ILLUSION that it is better because they don't know what to expect"
Experienced watchers like me understand a enough Japanese to judge fair.

"Poor selection of voice actors" - Can only work with what your given. If anime picks up, more money to spend on better voice actors.
-Money isn't the problem here
"Weak pronunciation of names" - Can you pronounce Japanese names easily and keep your accent?
-You just enforced the reason why you should watch subs
"Dub is behind sub" - OPINION
-I think he meant time-wise
"Because some dub watchers bash on subs" - As you are doing now?
-He isn't bashing it, he gave valid reasons why it's worse.
"Because anime doesn't suit the western ideology" - Maybe because all characters are JAPANESE?!
-Again, enforcing the reason to watch subs
"Because English people sometimes think the're the only ones watching anime" - Who is this? Besides, they are just adapting it as best they can. If you buy dubbed anime, more money can be spent in developing actors.
-Key world "adapting". I'll just leave it there.
"Sometimes the dub is just plain bad" - OPINION. Good dubs include Angel Beats, FMAB and Big Windup!
-I'll vouch that FMA dub is alright but the sub is way better. Angel Beats dub is awful and I don't have an opinion on Big Windup because I've never watched it.
"American voice actors do not have the experience and stuff seiyuu have" - Experience comes with time. Also, it is where you don't understand Japanese that most people get the ILLUSION that it is better because they don't know what to expect.
-I also don't think experience is the problem here either. It's all about the effort they put forth into voice acting.

Do you guys watch anime alone? [I watch all animes with my brother]
-I think watching anime with another person is kind of... awkward, so yes alone.
How much anime do you watch per day on average? *i watch on average 2 per day]
-Depends really, whenever I start a new show I like to marathon it so I could really spend all day watching anime and then the next not watch any at all.
Most I watched in a day was 37 episodes one time :P
