Alright guys. Since episode 12 of Itsuka Tenma no Kuro-Usagi has finally been released, below is my full review. There are spoilers in this.
This anime was definitely top notch. It had a very suspenseful and action packed plot. This anime also had a suspenseful romantic plot. This is still in question, but it seems like Taito is leaning more towards being with Saitohimea. It was also quite funny at points. This has to be one of the best action/suspense/romance anime i have ever seen. Overall, i really enjoyed it.
I give this anime a 10 out of 10, because there wasn't anything that really disappointed me in this show. After watching episode 12, i can say for a fact there will be a 2nd season. If not, i'm going to be really mad; the ending gave a lot of indication that there was going to be more.

While ive yet to see the end of the series (up to episode 8 so far) I have to wonder if your perhaps seeing something that ive been missing, because for me thus far the series has been achieving a 6/10 from me at most (which is slightly below my average score).
Ill give it points for being pretty artistically so far as character designs are concerned, with the two-tone hair and the shiny lights and all, but all ive been getting from the story is the impression that this show exists only to capatalise on the recent success of 'dark humor' in anime.
Insofar, the only reason ive found to watch this is the funny interactions between Gekkou and Mirai, and even these aren't exactly examples of quality comedic writing.
But although im rather enthused by it im willing to give it a shot since you provided such a glowing review for it. I may just be looking at it from the wrong angle.

@ Jesse,
Well, if this anime was solely comedy, then i wouldn't give it a 10, as there is only some scenes that were funny. What i really enjoyed about the anime was the fact that after most episodes, it would leave the viewer at a highly suspenseful moment. The romantic plot in this story kinda reminds me of the fan based war in Naruto with NaruHina and NaruSaku. Also, for once, the main hero isn't "invincible". Taito actually dies, even if he is revived. Taito is also not very powerful, but he is actually training to become stronger the hard way.
There is a scene in the final battle of this season that really impressed me. I thought for a second when i was watching Taito during the battle, i thought i saw Naruto or Luffy (what i mean by this is that Taito shows the same qualities as these characters).
Below is a big Spoiler!

At the end of episode 12, we find out that taito has a great power hidden within him. Also, there were a lot of clues that there would be another season.

I really liked the old pokemon episodes, mostly because of nostalgia of watching it in the morning after a sleepover on a television with dials, but I thought it had a good story line. Yugioh too untill it started getting caught up with dicing or whatever; That was weird...
