-Girls Bravo (not exactly for kids as it is somewhat perverse in a comedic sense)...Would recommend people to watch it otherwise
-Fist of the North Star
-Yugioh 5ds (Subbed, never watch English version)
-Excel Saga
Just finished watching
-Persona Trinity Soul
-Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
-Darker than Black
^ yea, havent seen any of those. I used to like yugioh, but now i think of it as a childish anime like pokemon. Naruto is pretty good; it's just the fillers that are a pain.

Bleach, very in-depth and intuitive story, with stories of the background characters, i just do not like how they do not kill of Aizen, but send him to prison! Argh!

I'm not overly keen on Yu-Gi-Oh myself, but after watching the unfinished English version of GX I decided to watch the final season in Japanese subs. It's almost a completely different anime dialog wise. Characters are different, swearing, blood, no dancing around the concept of death and what have you.
As for the Anime I listed I'm not sure what type of personality you have, so it'd be hard for me to suggest watching Girls Bravo. It is funny, but at the same time very perverse, suggestive themes, nudity, but nothing more than that.
Excel Saga is definitely worth watching, one of the more "funny" anime's I've seen which doesn't take itself serious one iota.
Darker than Black is a Dark Anime, lots of violence, and death, has a fairly strong story to it though.
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Is yet again another Anime Comedy which is definitely worth watching if you have the time.
Persona Trinity Soul - If you've played any of the Persona games you'll understand the basics of this anime. It's a story about a group of people who can summon "personas" (alter egos) which they use in combat. Not a lot of fighting however very story driven.
Fist of the North Star. Now I don't remember alot about this, I'll be getting around to watching it again soon. The last time I watched this was 20 years ago
The only anime series I've ever watched and genuinely liked was Ergo Proxy.
Most anime these days is full of ****** school girls that are like "Am I kawaii? ughuuuuu?!" I mean, seriously?

Lol, just done an anime quiz to see which character I was most like and got a tie between 3 people.
Yukino Miyazawa
Kenshin Himura
Edward Elric
Also, can anyone explain to me Yugioh 5D, I intended to watch it but the bikes put me off.
I don't get the synchro types, the reason for the bikes, how they are used etc...
Thanks.

It's somewhat hard to explain 5D's, but I'll try
5D's is set in the future where one area known as Satellite, and the other major city known as New Domino City.
The residents of Satellite are poor, low class, people treated like criminals who have no freedom. While the residents of NDC are either powerful, rich, or famous.
There are two types of duels in 5D's the normal duel, and "turbo duel" which is done on the bikes known as 'duel runners' Only major difference being that instead of magic cards there are "speed" magic cards.
Synchro monsters are a new powerful set of cards which are placed in the extra deck (where fusion monsters go) They can only be summoned by sacrificing a 'tuner' monster and 1+ non tuner monsters.
The level of the Tuner and non tuners must have the same total level as the synchro monster you want to summon.
Example if you want to summon a level 10 Synchro you need to sacrifice monsters that levels total to level 10.
How do I know all this? played on of the DS games, as well as played the online version of ygo.
The only thing I can suggest you do if you're interested in it is to watch an episode or two. If you do so however look for the subbed version online, the 4kids English version is completely butchered..
