Haha Luffy, i thought he was discussing about Anime in the Dutch forums and got (somehow) lost here.
But i also found out that Tech is a f-mod.
Anyway, back to the topic.

Not trying to be funny or offensive, but, I tend to find any anime which shows no signs of an end (i.e. more than 200 eps) is getting annoying.
So, I tend to avoid them. Or, at least an anime which has no actual end point in sight. :|

Well, You are entitled to your opinion. However, I like longer episodes because that means there are more adventures in the story. If one piece only showed the Arlong arc and nothing else, then I'd be really mad.
Another example of an anime that wouldn't be good short is Naruto. Let's say Naruto became Hokage after successfully transporting and protecting the bridge builder. Hokage is a very important status in the show, and if the series ended at this example, it would show that it doesn't take much to become hokage. The show would be ruined.
One advantage that an anime with over 200 episodes has against a 12 episode anime is there is more adventures (number of adventures is typically 50+); also, it makes it seem like the adventure to reach the highest goal (in One piece it's becoming the pirate king) is a long and difficult adventure. Shorter animes tend to only have either 1-3 episode arcs (meaning there is a few bosses), or the whole thing has only one adventure.
That being said, a disadvantage to longer animes is fillers. Some fillers are quite entertaining in my opinion, but most people want to watch the main story unfold.

Luffy's right fillers are a pain in the ass, sadly in naruto they overdid them so Shippuuden took way too much before actually appearing...I'm talking about 2yrs of fillers ffs... and in Bleach atleast half of the episodes are part of some filler arc that just annoys me. If you want examples of fillers both the currently airing saga in both Naruto and Bleach is a filler one. =/ One piece has top 26 filler episodes and they all were written by Eichiro Oda, One Piece Mangaka, so you don't feel them that much, while Naruto and Bleach fillers are written by someone else so you just get bored watching them. 500+ chapters aren't that bad, atleast i find it entertaining. =P
