I watched a few Wolf's Rain clips.
I guess it is dramatic, because by the looks of it, it seemed to be really sad and depressing.
I watched the opening and thought it was cool, the ending theme was really sad-like.
I think I'll watch it.
From what I saw, LOTSAAAA BLOOOD!!! HECK YEA!!! :D
But it seemed a bit odd, yet intresting.

Finished Saikano last night, and it was epic. I'm glad I refound it after all this time and watched it; not something i've regretted. Although the ending is somewhat confusing. I understand that Shuji is the last person alive, but what was that alternate world with Chise? Also, what happened to Chise; did she die? (even though they said she couldn't). That's what I don't get, but it's still one of the better series i've seen to date.

And now begins again, the tedious task of finding a series to watch next. Still thinking I should watch Umineko....

Question to anyone who may know:
Is there any anime series out there that has a military theme; that does not involve mechas, space travel, or any otherworldy content of sorts. Having finished Saikano now, I wish to try out a military genre anime, which is why I am asking for these specifications, as I hate mechas and space travel etc etc. So if anyone knows a series or many series which match my description, please let me know.

I really enjoyed Bakemonogatari. It was something different. A very refreshing series. The art was very nice and the soundtrack is a good compliment. The only thing that i didn't like was the CG crab for the Hitagi arc. I would recommend this to anyone who loves anime.
Can't wait for the prequel. :D
@Zuriel: The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is So-Ra-No-Wo-To. If you like slice of life, you can check it out. I don't recommend it for the action though.

A military anime without unrealistic elements huh? I cant say that ive ever seen such a thing. Of course, thats not all that surprising since its the more outlandish aspects of anime I like.
As for Bakemonogatari, I hear its really good (it set DVD sales records that were only recently beaten by Madoka Magica). Personally, I got bored with it not long into the first episode. series which drag their hook out to long lose me pretty quickly.
In other news:
MY R1 DVD PLAYER BROKE noooooo! Right when I got my recent shipment of stuff from the US, the only DVD play in the house that plays them had to go boom. I opened it up to see if I could fix it, and found that there was a colony of ANTS living in some parts of the disk drive. Dont think im gonna be able to fix that.
Finished that big stack of Negima manga that I bought the other day. I just had pick the one that leaves off on a massive cliffhanger as the end though didn't I (Volume 20, start of the magic world arc. I know sorta what happens since ive seen the OVA's but ive mostly forgotten).

I'm sorry Moninger, but those are the rules on this forum. You can't share any links whatsoever here.
@Jesse:
I had the same feeling about Bakemonogatari. I hear many people love it, but I dropped it after the third episode because all they did was talk. I might pick it up again one day.
Aww, sorry for your dvd player. :( What were those ants doing in your dvd player anyway? :P
As for Negima, I'm currently at chapter 112 (volume 13). I like the story, but I've put it on hold for a while and started reading Yotsuba which is a very funny manga about a five year old girl (fortunately no lolicon in this manga!).

Yesterday I received yet another package from Japan with anime production art. Besides some very nice Shiki sketches the set I really was waiting for was a Spice and Wolf set.
Consisting of a whopping 170 pages it was used to create a full 10 seconds in the anime! :P Yeah, you really need to see such a thing with your own eyes to believe they make thousands of sketches for every episode for every anime. For example, they made roughly 10,000 sketches for the first episode of Angel Beats. I can't even imagine how tough it must be to draw the same thing over and over again with a very small difference.

^ 10000? Thats over 9000! :P
Anyway, i've decided to rewatch Zero no Tsukaima, but this time with the English dubbed version. The dubbing isn't half bad to say the least, so I guess i'll be constantly assessing it, rather than focussing too much on the storyline (as I already know what happens).
