Just finished watching Dog Days, wow..... I never imagined a very simple story being fun to watch. Nothing spectacular at all, fairly ordinary - but for me the enjoyment level is very above average.

Haha, yeah, I finished watching it last week.
At 1st I couldn't take it seriously, because they treated war as a joke.
But as I watched more and more of the episodes, it was really fun to watch. :) The final episode had me almost in tears and with an ending like that, it's eligable for a 2nd season.

I saw the promo for Gundam AGE and even before I looked at the comments I could hear the screams of "Ruined FOREVER!!!111!!!1111one111!!".
It's clearly aimed for a younger audience, judging by the designs. Though the characters' actual ages aren't any younger than that of some previous protagonists. They may look about 7, but they are apparently older, outside of flashbacks, of course. No 7 years olds piloting Gundams with mobile phones, despite what people kept saying.
It is said that the story will span 100 years and 3 generations.
Comes out in October apparently. I'm more looking forward to Gundam Unicorn episode 4 personally, which should be out around a similar time, give or take a month or so, most likely give.

Would you recommend Gundam Unicorn? I haven't seen it personally but I have heard that it has a bunch of odd characters compared to usual series. (Maybe that's not such a bad thing since most Gundam series have the stereotypical gundam characters in every show)

Yes I would recommend it, I think you'll enjoy it for IMO, it's a nice addition to the UC timeline, though I'd recommend only watching if you've watched at least Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam, and Char's Counterattack as that's how it is timeline wise and you'll be able to understand it better, though everything else before those like War in the Pocket, Stardust Memory you won't have to watch. But yeah, I fully recommend watching it :D

Yeah, I don't understand it, when it's someone like Heero Yuy or Kira people are like OMGGGGGG, plus Gundam has had a lot of angsty teenagers who have turned to complete badasses later like Amuro Ray and Kamille Bidan, it'll be interesting to see Gundam Age, plus people have criticized ZZ and Char's Counterattack, yet seeing Unicorn and some other Gundams, I don't see the series 'ruined' (Though stay away from G-Saviour)

I think we've all grown to love the stereotypical Gundam "badasses!" Whether it's Heero Yuy in Wing, Setsuna F Seiei in 00, Allelujah Haptism also in 00, Kira in Seed...The list just goes on and on! Sometimes though, we do need a completely different dynamic character-wise though :D
