@raikenzera: Oh man, you skipped ahead really far. That's the 4th arc. I'll post the proper order your meant to read them in later (to tired now). You have to read them in the proper order, or it dosent work as a mystery series and it wont make any sense.

I don't suppose anyone knows if there will be a second season/series of Highschool Of The Dead? After watching the OVA (Which was, well, not what I thought it would be...), it said "To be continued", so, I was wondering if anyone had a date?

The new Steinsgate episode was awesome. There's just one thing I don't understand. How did the boy turn into a girl? I know there's a lot possible in anime, but that's certainly a twist!

I dunno about that date for HOTD S2. I checked all the usual, reliable sources for upcoming releases and i couldn't find any mention of a concrete date (or even a green light for it).

@raikenzera: Ok, now that im awake. This is the order your meant to read Higurashi in:
- Onikakushi-hen (Abducted By Demons Chapter)
- Watanagashi-hen (Cotton Drifting Chapter)
- Tatarigoroshi-hen (Curse killing Chapter)
- Himatsubushi-hen (Time killing Chapter)
- Meakashi-hen (Eye Opening Chapter)
- Tsumihoroboshi-hen (Attonment Chapter)
- Minagoroshi-hen (Massacre Chapter)
- Matsuribayashi-hen (Festival Accompanying Chapter)
Listed above are the 8 core arcs which make up the story proper. The manga included several optional side arcs:
Yoigoshi-hen (Beyond Midnight chapter): Goes between Himatsubushi and Meakashi.
U****sukowashi-hen (Reality Breaking Chapter): Prologue to Meakashi.
Kokoroiyashi-hen (Heart-Healing Chapter): Epilogue to Matsuribayashi.
Onisarashi-hen (Demon Exposing Chapter): listed as 'side story', im still waiting for my copy to arrive so im not sure were in the order this goes.
Kataribanashi-hen (Anthology Chapter): Story anthology, read last.

How someone could change genders like that was possibly due to the 'Butterfly Effect' in 'Chaos Theory'. Where one change in the past, would most likely cause other changes unintentionally. Yes, but biology prevents something like that to happen. Your gender is already determined in the chromosomes of the first cell. Therefore it's impossible that someone's gender would be changed by changing the past.
So if he would suddenly be a girl, it would mean that she's not the same person as he was before the experiment. If both the old Ruka and the current Ruka would be alive at the same time they would be twins (dizygotic/fraternal twins, not monozygotic/identical twins).
So by sending that D-mail (which was ridiculous by the way) the old Ruka ceased to exist and gave way for a new Ruka to be born. That's even worse than dieing, now he never existed in the first place.
But considering the D-mail I don't think the creators of this anime thought of this so I think we can expect Ruka to be the same person, only with a changed gender.
P.S. I thought it was funny to see those well-known store names in this episode - Mandarake and Nakano is where I buy my anime production sketches. :) Fortunately they still exist in real life. :P

DvD's I guess.
I personally like to buy them to support the makers.
I have Death Note, Higurashi No Naku Koroni Kai and Ouran High School Host Club all on DvD.
I heard there's a second season of Shin*yaku! Ika Musume so I'm waiting for that ^_^

DVDs and BDs of course! Not only does it make an awesome shelf, but I also much rather watch anime on tv than on my laptop.
With manga even more, I prefer reading on paper over reading on a screen.
Plus it's always a nice thought that you're supporting the creators and everyone who worked on it. :)
